Join our virtual run team and help end gendered violence
Join us in supporting women and kids escape domestic violence as part of the United Nation's 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence. Run 5km, 10km, 21km or 42km — or any distance you choose — on a nominated day between 25 November and 10 December, which is Human Rights Day.
Don’t want to run? You can still show your support for our runners, and make a donation at our Run for The Haven fundraising page.
Register
Email us at run@thehaven.org.au to register and receive a free training and fundraising guide. We will keep in touch with you during your training program to help keep you on track (excuse the pun).
Fundraise
You can nominate your fundraising goal and set up your individual fundraising page on our online fundraising platform. It’s simple, and you will be guided through every step. You can then share your fundraising page with your family and friends to let them know why you’re supporting women and kids escaping domestic violence.
Run
You choose the distance, the route, and the date, between 25 November and 10 December. Make the distance challenging, but achievable. It’s important to prepare for a long run by building your fitness and stamina gradually and consistently over time. Our training guide outlines running and fitness goals for each week, for four different distances, from 5km to a full marathon. You can also join our private Run for The Haven Facebook group for motivation and inspiration. We will send you the link when you register.
